I know my other 2 judges had as much fun as I did examining with awe the 31 orb photos that we received for our first ever orb photo contest.  I totally felt like a kid in a candy store!  We got examples of many of the different types of orbs (see the blogpost “All About Orbs) and practically every photo we received deserved to win as far as I’m concerned.  In deciding a winner (winning prize is a free reading) we had the pictures filed and numbered so that we could not see who submitted each photo, then the 3 of us judged them independently based upon aesthetics as well as by how well each photo validated the existence of Spirit using a point system. Though it was a tough decision one pic stood alone, recieving a 1st place votes from all 3 of us. Below is the winning photo as well as the 3 runner-ups.  Thank you to everyone who entered.  You made my halloween season special!

Our first runner up with 8 points shows a luminous orb with what appears to be Niagra Falls in the backdrop.

Our second runner up with 4 points is a classic example of graveyard spirits with several luminous and dust orbs.  This shows clearly how orbs can often be found in cemeteries.

The third runner up, also with 4 points is a classic example of an apparition.  Notice the clarity and the striking features.  What an amazing Spirit.
